Children Are the Line in the Sand

No topic affects most adults more than their children. The people we trust our kids to are valuable assets as a parent. In many cases, this is how we navigate life. With trusted adults: doctors, dentists, educators, counselors, principals and assistants, school boards, and superintendents.

What is a parent to do when a school system not only fails to protect multiple children but exposes them to things they should not be witnessing at their age?

Intimidation and Threats Are Not Oversight

What is a parent to do when a young 12 or 13 year old girl is shut in a room with a male assistant principal and berated for texting her mother?

Made to feel less because she obviously did not see what she saw and neither did her peers?

Then threatened?

The Wall of Denial in Pendleton County

What does a parent do when the superintendent is more worried about covering people than serving students and parents adequately?

That last bit disgusts me. The level of cover your ass has made Pendleton County an example of a dysfunctional mess. This isn’t just this superintendent. This has been going on for years. Decades.

This has let predators remain in power. Subs who act inappropriately. Coaches who abuse kids. And I am not even warmed up. The next few weeks of articles will leave no stone unturned.

The Video They Say Doesn’t Exist

The video posted last night was outright called a lie by the superintendent in an email today.

He is aware of the content. They did everything in their power to investigate it. He found everything to be false.

Despite being legally obligated to report this to a higher authority.

You internally hid details. That is what happened. Prove me wrong.

 Eight Parents. One Alleged Predator.

That continuing to report on this video or the eight parents that now have come forward to say some freak sub is “allegedly” watching porn in class and groping himself in students’ view is a lie.

That it is a lie his friend, the assistant principal, intimidated a child without their parent present and then threatened them.

Are All the Children Lying?

Every child is lying because there is no possible way that a teacher knows how to use incognito mode or hide their tracks. When most 10 year olds these days could teach you how to hide tracks.

Every parent is wrong about the fact their children literally cry about what sub they are going to have. That personalities have changed.

I guess my ears are lying when you hear the fear in that little girl’s voice while a man she is supposed to be able to trust is gaslighting her and threatening her.

We Are Not Backing Down

Well, I say “allegedly”. This superintendent can lie to himself if he thinks we are going to stop reporting on these issues with parental quotes. I am so disgusted, and I am trying very hard to be as polite as possible.

The next few weeks will not be nice for the schools. The next few months will not be nice that often.

Too much shit. Too often. Too much covered up. And too much. Period.
