Wake Up, Pendleton County
The Truth About the Power Struggle Behind Your Law Enforcement
The people of Pendleton County deserve to know the truth.
Right now, State Representative Mark Hart is working hand in hand with his twin brother, disgraced Falmouth Police Chief Marty Hart, to unseat Republican candidate Jared Brewer for Pendleton County Sheriff.
Why?
Because this isn’t just about politics. It’s about control.
The Real Story Behind the Feud
For years, there’s been growing tension between the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office and the Falmouth Police Department, almost always at the instigation of Chief Marty Hart. The conflict has little to do with law enforcement priorities and everything to do with who holds the reins of local power.
Mark and Marty Hart have never gotten over the fact that Jared Brewer defeated their hand-picked candidate, Eddie Quinn.
And make no mistake. Quinn wasn’t really running his own campaign. He was standing in for Marty Hart himself, who couldn’t legally hold the office since he isn’t a Pendleton County resident.
Follow the Money and the Influence
To make matters worse, another independent voice, Sebastian Ernst, was also elected around that same time. Ernst proposed merging the Falmouth Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office, giving the County 24/7 coverage while saving taxpayers more than half a million dollars annually.
That money could have been reinvested into parks, infrastructure, and recreation for local families.
Now, the Harts are at it again.
They’ve put forward Ken Hall, a city employee under Marty Hart and Sabrina Hazen, who just happens to be Mark Hart’s tenant.
You can’t make this up. It’s the same network of insiders trying to hold onto control at all costs.
Toxic Fallout in the Police Department
Their behavior has created a toxic work environment within the Falmouth Police Department. Officers are leaving in droves.
Even Matt Campbell, who’s dating Mark Hart’s daughter, walked away. Kyle Florer also resigned after being pressured by Marty Hart to carry out an arrest that two separate attorneys had warned was illegal.
If you doubt it, just ask anyone in the Sheriff’s Office. Off the record, many will tell you the same thing.
The relationship between the two departments has become hostile, divisive, and unsustainable, all thanks to politics and power plays.
Pendleton County Deserves Better
Falmouth and Pendleton County deserve better. You deserve honesty, transparency, and leadership that serves the people, not family interests or personal vendettas.
The ones running the show aren’t who you think they are.
It’s time to open your eyes and take back your county.
