Updates On Recent Stories

On the incident involving the officer/assistant police chief: Yes, I plan on following up. I have submitted the open records request and contacted the gas station(s) involved. In the comments on the original post, the story was corroborated independently of us. Additionally, there is someone who witnessed the purchases on more than one occasion, and we are reaching out to them. These things, unfortunately, don’t come together easily but we will stay on it until the full truth is unraveled.

Regarding yesterday’s tragedy: I have no story or context to report at this time and I may not at all. I was not chasing clout or views. I responded to very few comments. The post itself was made because I woke up yesterday to no fewer than 30 whispers/questions in my messages. That’s what precipitated the post.

Some comments are missing from my posts. The reason is that certain individuals crossed the line from simple disagreement into name-calling, trolling, and repeating themselves like broken records. I give everyone a clean slate. What you do with it is up to you. When I block someone who’s made a lot of comments, those comments disappear from the thread.

There’s been some misconception about my purpose with these articles and this page. If all I wanted was views, I already have more than enough. In fact, even many people who claim to hate this page still watch everything I do. And many of the folks acting out in Facebook public comments are being kind on other platforms. They act one way where they think the people they know can see them and totally different when they think they are shielded. Yes, Falmouth has an eclectic group and one of the more popular types has many faces.

No, this page exists to root out corruption and rot. To answer the whispers I receive in a timely manner and give voice to things that others have been unable to. The comments matter to me too, but I won’t entertain someone who wastes everyone’s time by repeating the same thing over and over. And for the record, I leave up plenty of comments from people who disagree with me. so long as they’re respectful or bring something useful to the table.

As for the Northern Pendleton Fire District: Many of the outside investigations are still ongoing. I’ll provide update stories as those investigations progress. I’ve had a lot of questions about the status, and I’ll follow up as I can.

There are also stories I need to finish. July was difficult due to personal matters, and my files, notes, and documents could fill a few volumes. I’m working on organizing everything and will be digging back into unresolved cases that are still pending.

Lastly, the website is nearly ready to launch. We’re launching with more towns than expected in the beginning and will continue adding more as requested.
