FALMOUTH!!!!
We have had one occasion of gun violence in Falmouth in recent memory. It was awful and should never happen. The incident involved very young adults, something far too common these days. Thankfully, no one was injured, and in this case, law enforcement responded appropriately. But I ask you, Falmouth, are you scared?
Because after hours of reading posts and comments, many of you didn’t even know it happened. And yet, despite this isolated event, we now hear, through confirmed whispers, that Mayor Sabrina Hazen, in cooperation with “certain” state officials, wants to increase police funding in response. She claims it’s to “stop this growing trend of gun violence.” Let’s not kid ourselves. There is no “trend.” There is no uptick. There is one incident, and yet the response is to funnel even more money into an already bloated, broken system.
All while ignoring the genuine, ongoing threat to your lives and homes: FOURTEEN inoperable fire hydrants.
When asked, Hazen reportedly brushed off concerns about the hydrants. She noted one was now fixed at 919 Main St. One. Another is supposedly due next month. The rest? Broken for years. No rush. Falmouth, I’m screaming as I type this. There have been multiple total-loss fires in recent years. In one case, a young autistic boy lost his life. The fire department just two city blocks away took 20 minutes to respond. The hydrant across the street was broken. They had to use one by the post office, a block away. More lost time. A child died. Let that sit.
And now? Now they want more police funding?
Let me remind you what IS ACTUALLY ILLEGAL here:
Statutes Already Broken by Falmouth Officials
807 KAR 5:066, Section 10(2)(b)
Utilities are required to maintain working hydrants and flow rates. They have not.
807 KAR 5:095
Mandates water infrastructure must be functional for fire protection. They knowingly left it broken.
807 KAR 5:066, Section 10(5)
In case of fire hydrant failure, utilities must immediately notify public officials or the fire chief. There’s no record of this happening.
KRS 61.170 – Neglect of County or City Officer
City officials who neglect legal duties can be fined and removed from office. This includes mayors, utility supervisors, and council members.
KRS 522.030 – Official Misconduct in the First Degree
Public servants who knowingly refuse to perform legal duties are guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. These are not hypothetical charges. This is the current state of your city government.
We have received more than 40 private whispers: allegations of excessive force, police brutality, tasing incidents with no arrests, breaking and entering, and assaults never prosecuted. Whispers of conflict of interest, of officers’ family members giving legal advice to suppress citizen complaints. So much more…
And meanwhile, they act like you are the problem. They block The Whisper. They block you.
They say nothing about hydrants. Nothing about fire safety. Nothing about responsibility.

Mayor Sabrina Hazen — (859) 609-1991
Falmouth Fire Department — (859) 654-8256

State Rep. Mark Hart — (859) 654-4278
Report this to the Attorney General of Kentucky as criminal neglect and public safety endangerment:
📞 1-888-432-9257
Ask them why the City of Falmouth is violating Kentucky law, refusing to fix known, life-saving infrastructure despite having the budget. We told you before, and we’ll say it again: This is willful neglect. And now they want to give more money to the people ignoring it. Disgraceful. Dangerous. Corrupt. EMBARRASSING! Do not let them spin a single incident into justification for empowering a failing police force, while ignoring the deadliest threat to your homes and families. Now you can accuse the Whisper of Cyberbullying, it is not true, but hey, who am I to ruffle your hurt feelings.
The Whisper will not quit. The Whispers continue.
